Promo Models / Mopar Promo Model Website
« Last post by 71newport on December 31, 2017, 12:28:54 PM »
Honored to be the first to post to this thread!  I've created a Mopar promo model website where I'm attempting to gather information on 1966-1974 Mopar muscle car promos.  The site includes photos and descriptions of the cars in my modest personal collection, general information on Mopar promos (e.g. who made them, types of boxes, available colors, etc.), promo order forms, and other misc. information.

I'm seeking more information on oddball cars, restoration tips, replacement parts sources, and any information on the manufacturers- MPC or Jo-Han, from the muscle car era.

This is NOT a commercial site.  Nothing is for sale, and I don't discuss promo values.  It's a site for guys like me who simply love the cars.

Check it out:  http://www.moparlit.com/new_mopar_promo_model_information_and_resources

The tire mount was a Vic Hickey unit that  got when the truck was new. Vic made a lot of aftermaket stuff back in the day.
Here's a link to the complete story of my truck with lots of pictures. I you have a few days to waste... here you go... http://ramchargercentral.com/mopar-trucks/my-'74-power-wagon-i-ordered-from-dodge-on-873/

Great color-combo.

And a picture of my 71 Challenger convertible the day I brought it home. It had a dented left front fender which I had repaired for $100. I was on the USS Bainbridge (CGN-25) from 1973 until 1976.
